See you this September
I just got back from a short vacation and as always…I
have new perspectives. I thought I would share one of
them with you right away here on Monday…
Late last Tuesday evening, I met one of my platinum
level clients at the park in my neighborhood where
I run The Fitness Nomad Boot Camp:
The evening was vintage Wisconsin in late August and
early September, and the experience left me craving
‘September Boot Camp at the Park.’ Yes, there were a
few mosquitos, but we were moving so fast it was no
trouble to dodge them. Especially with with the
help of some ‘Deep Woods OFF!”
We worked until it got dark, and then we laid down on
our backs and admired the evening sky as one start after
another made its appearance in the sky. Endorphins
rushed through our blood streams, we reflected, and
moment by moment my connection with the universe as a
whole strengthened.
I was grateful for a late evning of ‘work’ and for my
physical ability to perform the movement. Of course
I was grateful too for the opportunity to share this
experience with a client. The experience in
solitude is one thing, but when you can share it with
someone, or a group of like-minded bohemians, the
experience moves to a whole new level.
I didn’t mind the extra work of carrying a full barbell
and Kettlebell set to the park and the late evening
commitment I made to ensure that a client got his
workout. I was instead grateful for the opportunity
not just to take care of a willing client, but to allow
my physical body to realize its potential.
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evening at this
same park, we will perform this ritual during the month
of September. After that, we’re headed back to the gym
at Midvale Elementary School just a few blocks away.
I would love to share September with you. So if you
think you’re up for it, and you want to ensure a spot
in the Fall boot camp at Midvale, I encourage you to
register for a class right now at:

PS There are about 12 simple moves you can perform
with a Kettle Bell that will literally change your body
for the better forever. If you’re intrigued by this
concept, I encourage you to register for your first

PSS Go easy on me today. I spent the weekend re-making
my dining room at home. The result is fantastic, but
that kind of work always takes its toll
When hungry eat, when tired sleep!
Well, we as Americans certainly have the first part down… As for the second? We have some serious work to do! An excuse I hear often is that “I’m too tired” or “I don’t have time to exercise.” Bull. The more likely scenario is that you’re disorganized, mostly because you manage your time about as [...]
Anyone need a spoon?
Every time I place them in the silverware drawer I smile, if only internally. After all, they’re really nice spoons. Just the right size, thick and worthy of each spoonful of nourishment they deliver over and over again. They’re a distant relative of the others that share the space in the drawer. In fact, when [...]
